Nicole Atkins - Under the Milky Way

Under the Milky Way is a 1988 song by Australian band The Church. Although it has been coverd quite often in the past, it is currently being replayed in a lounge-style cover by singer Sia. But that is not the version I am posting. From New Jersey, in her early singing gigs, Nicole Atkins was often requested to cover songs by local compadres Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. In 2008, her cover EP Digs Other People's Songs caught attention. Her introspective style is often compared to Roy Orbison and Wilco.
