Metric - Gimme Sympathy

A little nod to the 60's British Invasion, pitting The Beatles and the Rolling Stones and mixing them to the imagery of the lyrics. Metric's music is usually classified as alternative. I like to think they are the new pop. Emily Haines, the lead singer, is possibly the most enthralling female singer in rock today. She is a beast of live performances, rock sexy and charismatic... and a great voice. Emily has a couple of solo CDs and, being with the Arts & Crafts label, which mainly promotes Canadian artists, she had a few stints with the mega-morphic band Broken Social Scene along with Feist.
