Shiny Toy Guns - Money For That

Shiny Toy Guns seems to have cashed in on the trend of using a band's song in a commercial. Apple had a huge string of artists selling their songs for the iPod ads. The Motorola Razr ninja-style cellphone throwing fight between a guy and a girl in a subway was their first big media exposure with the song La Disco from the album We Are Pilots. Last year, around the same time they came out with their newest CD Season of Poison, you could hear them doing a great cover version of Peter Schilling's song Major Tom for the Lincoln MKS luxury car.

The album We Are Pilots was one of the great Synth-Rock records this decade. I was just hoping they would be consistent in their second album. Great surprise! Season of Poison has the same crafty arrangements but, much to my delight, was more in the "rock" side of the term Synth-Rock; more guitars, more power in the voices (if that could even be possible!)
