People in Planes - Mayday (M'aidez)

People in Planes' CD "Beyond the Horizon" is one of my top 10 favourites of the past decade. I can't actually put my finger on what it is. There is a lot of emotion in lead singer Gareth Jones' voice, and the guitar has a good crunch to it without being overwhelming. I'm posting the song "Mayday (M'aidez)" for it's punch, but the CD has a few more stylings, from light alternative to an almost progressive groove. A very interesting CD. Their earlier CD "As Far As The Eye Can See" does not fall anywhere near mainstream and has very original and inventive composition and arrangements and also worth looking into.
