The Last Shadow Puppets - My Mistakes Were Made For You

I must admit, before I listened to The Last Shadow Puppets, I had never heard of Miles Kane of the Rascals. I was more familiar with Alex Turner of the band Arctic Monkeys. Nonetheless, their joint project hit a chord with me and this beautifully produced pop album will surely remain as one of those albums you put on and say to yourself, "Damn, that's good!" In my humble opinion, this is one of the best pop albums of 2008.

The first track I heard was from the video clip for "The Age Of The Understatement" and was blown away. The lush orchestrations, the retro sound, the harmonies and arrangements... it just all fit together perfectly. One of my favourite tracks is "My Mistakes Were Made For You".
